Please submit headshot photo(s) of your child(ren) for your child(ren)'s passports to spx.vbs@gmail.com by Saturday, June 14.

Contact Susan Gilmore (on the Contact Us page) if you have registered by mail and would like to get a copy of the music CD before VBS begins so your child(ren) are familiar with the songs.

(These will be distributed to all who registered after the Masses on April 26&27.)

Works of Mercy

$5 of every registration is set aside to help fulfill our parish mission to "give witness to the Gospel through...service and sharing of our...treasure so that God's kingdom may live and grow in our midst." Each day every participant is given a coin to represent $1. The participant then chooses one of the following organizations to share their treasure with. Parents may allow their children to earn more treasure to donate by sharing their time & talent around the house.
Ronald McDonald House - Parish, Local, & National

Our parish currently collects pop-tabs to support RMDH. On their website, they say, "We are able to generate thousands of dollars from our pop tab collection program every year. But that would literally be impossible without the amazing support of children and adults who faithfully collect the tabs religiously. If you aren't currently collecting your pop tabs to donate to the Ronald McDonald House, why not? It's an easy way to do something good and make a difference in the life of a seriously ill child."

Bring your pop-tabs to VBS and donate them during the Opening or Closing Assembly.

Joseph's Coat - Parish and Local

Joseph’s Coat is one of the non-profit Community Outreach ministries of Messiah Lutheran Church, in partnership with St. Pius X Catholic Church and Parkview Presbyterian located in Reynoldsburg, Ohio.

Their Mission is to help individuals and families to provide for themselves by offering clothing, furniture, personal care items, and household goods.

Joseph’s Coat was established in 2004 as a small clothing and furniture helping-hand organization. Since that time it has steadily grown to a vibrant community service provider to over 300 families each month (450 to 850 individuals). The number of families we serve continues to increase. In 2011, we served 1,164 familes. In 2012, the number of families we served more than doubled to 2,685.

Our warehouse and store, located at 240 Outerbelt St. in Columbus, Ohio (just off East Broad Street east of McNaughten Road), are open to those in need three days a week. We offer “customer choice” where families and individuals are free to choose their own clothing items

Bring items to VBS to donate to Joseph's Coat.

Catholic Relief Services - World

Catholic Relief Services was founded in 1943 by the Catholic Bishops of the United States to serve World War II survivors in Europe. Since then, we have expanded in size to reach more than 100 million people in more than 100 countries on five continents.

Our mission is to assist impoverished and disadvantaged people overseas, working in the spirit of Catholic social teaching to promote the sacredness of human life and the dignity of the human person. Although our mission is rooted in the Catholic faith, our operations serve people based solely on need, regardless of their race, religion or ethnicity. Within the United States, CRS engages Catholics to live their faith in solidarity with the poor and suffering people of the world.

CRS is motivated by the example of Jesus Christ to ease suffering, provide development assistance, and foster charity and justice. We are committed to a set of Guiding Principles and hold ourselves accountable to each other for them.
