Parish Mission Statement
"We, the people of God at St. Pius X parish, are a community of believers faithful to the Gospel of Jesus Christ and the Catholic Tradition. We seek holiness through prayer, worship and the sacramental life of the Church. Inspired by the fire of the Holy Spirit, we give witness to the Gospel through education, service and sharing of our time, talent and treasure so that God's kingdom may live and grow in our midst."

St. Pius X Safe Environment Policy
From an email from Deacon Charlie Miller, our Parish Administrator dated September 5, 2013:
Effective immediately...
-
All Protecting God’s Children and BCI/FBI Background Checks for new adult volunteers (high school graduates 18 years of age and older) who work with children or associated with children in any way must be sent to:
Safe Environment Program
Diocese of Columbus
197 E. Gay Street
Columbus, Ohio 43215
-
To register for a Protecting God's Children Session, click here for a link to Virtus Online. Once here, choose "Columbus, OH (Diocese)". A list of sessions will come up. Choose the session that will fit your schedule.
-
All new adult Volunteers must complete the Parish Volunteer Application Form if working with young people. This form stays in the parish. You do not need to send it downtown.
-
Additionally, included in the attachment above is part of the Youth Protection Program which identifies child protection guidelines. All parish volunteers should complete the required BCI/FBI Background check and Protecting God’s Children whether they are working directly or indirectly with children.
•You need ONLY BCI if you have lived in the State of Ohio for the past 5 years.
•If you have moved into the state within the past 5 years, you need both BCI and FBI.
•This must be done digitally - no ink prints.
•As long as you are a regular volunteer, you only need to do this once.
•Only school teachers and paid professionals have to renew.
•Reynoldsburg Police Department does BCI for $27 and FBI for $29 or $51 for both.
•Pickerington Police Department is $30 for each.
-
The Parish Volunteer Form is to be completed and turned into the Parish Office regardless of whether the volunteer is working with children or not.
